Each member of the NorthStar team brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to work with young adults along with a combine 60+ years of personal recovery.

Administrative Team

Sean Fievet, B.A.
Executive Director

Sean earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religion from Florida State University in Tallahassee. Prior to moving to Bend, Sean worked with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School for seven years designing and implementing experiential education programs for at-risk youth. His experience includes job skills training, social and interpersonal skills development, team-building, environmental education and family mediation.

Scott Fitzwater, M.A., L.P.C.

Scott received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College. He has over 13 years of experience working with at-risk youth and their families and is licensed in the State of Oregon as a Practical Counselor. Scott once served as a Case Manager for NorthStar, and most recently as Program Director for SageWalk the Wilderness School. Prior to Scott’s four-year tenure at SageWalk, he worked as a Child & Family Therapist with Deschutes County Mental Health.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and minor in Communications from Walla Walla College in College Place, Washington. He has over 22 years experience in Administration and Business Management in several fields including restaurants, and healthcare. As Operations Director, Bob oversees all financial, human resources, and business related matters.

Brian J. Bulemore, M.A., L.P.C., CADC-III

Brian earned his Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 1999. Originally from Michigan, he moved to Oregon five years ago to take a position at a prominent wilderness therapy program. Following two years leading wilderness-based expeditions for adolescents, Brian moved into a supervisory position, primarily focusing on family consultation and support, in addition to program development, staff training and supervision, referral relations, and logistics. Specific areas of previous experience include substance abuse assessment and recovery, addictive behaviors, mood and anxiety disorders, anger management, psychological assessment, child custody evaluations, trauma survivors, domestic violence and family conflict management. Brian's interests include caving, cycling, photography, fly-fishing, rock and ice climbing, skiing, music, and environmental issues and ecological-friendly building and living systems.

Alice received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Maryland and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Kent State University. She currently holds a Teaching License from the state of Oregon with endorsements for Standard and Special Education. Alice has over 15 years of experience in Education as well as an Employment Specialist. .

Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon in 1995. She has worked in client services and marketing positions for the last thirteen years. She specializes in building long-term relationships and trust in the decision making process. As the mother of two young girls, Carrie appreciates the challenges and joys of parenting; and as the wife of a therapist who is also the NorthStar Program Director, she has a clear understanding of the therapeutic industry. A fan from a very young age, she shares a passion for music with the NorthStar young adult clientele, and enjoys creating fun events for families to benefit from.

Dee Langford

Dee comes from a strong background of business and marketing. She has been involved with youth and young adult programs for over 12 years. Dee attended Portland State University in Portland, Oregon majoring in the Social Sciences. Dee is the mother of three young ladies and deeply understands a parent’s passion to see their child succeed. She brings a high level of sincerity to her position as Admissions Counselor with her empathic nature and strong listening skills. She enjoys creating trust and confidence in new relationships as she assists families through the admissions process.
